The Delusional Nomad

S1 EP2: John Guanci Discusses Practice, Patience & Persistence

Episode Summary

In this episode, Eric sits down with John Guanci, an executive leadership coach, to discuss overcoming self-doubt, taking decisive action, and stepping into one's future self now rather than waiting for the "right time." They dive into the power of thought patterns, the impact of self-limiting beliefs, and the importance of practicing small, consistent actions to create lasting change. John shares his personal growth journey, and the mindset shifts that have propelled him forward. The conversation emphasizes the role of intentionality, the power of human connection, and the importance of moving past hesitation to take action—because waiting and overthinking often kill opportunities before they begin. Eric and John challenge listeners to rethink their own limitations and start acting as the person they aspire to be today.

Episode Notes

John’s professional coaching career began shortly after selling his business in the fall of 2013. Having once been caught in the cycle of restlessness, unfulfillment, and fear, he now dedicates his work to helping others break free from those same patterns. He coaches individuals who are in a race to get somewhere—only to realize they’re unsure of where they’re going. Others have a vision, but after repeated half-hearted attempts, their dreams begin to fade. This struggle isn’t just frustrating—it’s painful. It breeds guilt, doubt, and shame—emotions strong enough to derail even the most ambitious.

But not his clients.

They sense a higher calling, a king or queen within them ready to emerge. With the right support, they break through mental barriers, create habits that align with their deepest goals, and step fully into the lives they were meant to lead.
